If you're in crisis, help is available right now

The characters in QuestRealm are AI, not real people or trained professionals. If you are struggling, please reach out to a real person who can help. These free, confidential services are staffed 24/7:

988988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US). Call or text 988 for free, confidential support, any time.

Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741 (US) to reach a trained crisis counselor.

Outside the US? Find a crisis center near you at findahelpline.com.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the US) right away.

Our AI characters

QuestRealm's non-player characters are powered by artificial intelligence. They are fictional characters in a fantasy world — not real people, and not a substitute for professional support, medical advice, or human connection. AI-generated dialogue can occasionally be unexpected or inaccurate. This experience may not be suitable for all minors, and you must be at least 13 years old to play.

Our self-harm & suicide intervention protocol

In line with California's SB 243, QuestRealm maintains a protocol to detect and respond to expressions of suicidal ideation or self-harm. In summary:

Reminders & breaks

QuestRealm reminds players that they are interacting with AI characters, and prompts players — and reminds minors at least every three hours of continuing interaction — to take a break.

Reporting

Beginning July 1, 2027, and annually thereafter, QuestRealm will report to the California Office of Suicide Prevention as required by SB 243, including information about the protocols we use to detect and respond to suicidal ideation.
