1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using QuestRealm ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
QuestRealm is an online game service that provides interactive gameplay with AI-powered NPCs, character creation and progression, save game functionality, payment processing for gameplay time, and multiplayer capabilities.
3. Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years of age to use QuestRealm. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 13 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.
4. User Accounts
- You must create an account to use the Service
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
5. AI-Generated Content
QuestRealm uses artificial intelligence to generate game content including NPC dialogue, character images, 3D models, quests, and storylines. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may occasionally produce unexpected, inaccurate, or inappropriate results
- AI-generated content is fictional and does not represent the views of QuestRealm or its developers
- AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright protection under current law
- Your conversations with AI characters are processed by third-party AI services (Google Gemini)
- We implement content filtering but cannot guarantee all AI outputs will be appropriate
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Attempt to manipulate AI systems to produce prohibited content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access the Service without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
7. Subscription and Payment Terms
7.1 Subscription Plans
QuestRealm offers subscription plans that automatically renew each month. Current plans include Free (3 hrs/month), Adventurer ($12.99/mo, 7 hrs), Hero ($24.99/mo, 16 hrs), and Legend ($39.99/mo, 30 hrs). Hour packs are also available as one-time purchases that never expire.
7.2 Billing and Auto-Renewal
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You will be charged the applicable subscription fee on each renewal date. We will send you a reminder before your subscription renews.
7.3 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the in-game payment menu. Cancellation is as simple as subscribing — just click the cancel button in your subscription settings. Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to your paid tier until the end of your current billing period
- Your account reverts to the Free tier after the billing period ends
- Unused hour packs do not expire and remain on your account
- Your game saves and character data are preserved
7.4 Refunds
Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase. Refunds are provided at our discretion and may be denied for violations of these Terms.
7.5 Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by us. You retain ownership of any content you create in the Service, and you grant us a license to use, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
